This 1980 Honda XL500S is powered by a 500cc four-stroke single mated to a five-speed transmission and has been refinished in red with factory-style orange and yellow graphics over a black frame. Features include street lighting, a side stand, dual mirrors, and passenger accommodations. This XL500S is offered with an Open Arizona Title with an Open bill of sale.

The fuel tank, side covers, and fenders were all original Red! Street-oriented features include front and rear turn signals, a brake light, a headlight with high and low beams, dual mirrors, and a license plate bracket. A passenger seat with a grab strap is equipped, as are passenger foot pegs mounted to the swingarm.

Wire-spoke wheels with black hubs and spoke covers wear modern dual-sport tires said to have been installed for the previous owner, who also serviced the front and rear drum brakes. Suspension consists of a conventional telescopic fork with black rubber gaiters and a swingarm with replacement shocks.

The sealed gauge cluster includes an 85-mph speedometer with shift points, a tripmeter, and a five-digit odometer showing 4100k miles, approximately 100 of which have been ridden by the seller. She is in top running condition and starts 2nd kick.

The air-cooled SOHC 500cc four-stroke single produced 26 horsepower and 27 lb-ft of torque when new, and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Service performed by the previous owner is said to have included fluid changes and installation of a new X-ring drive chain, while the seller has rebuilt the carburetor and fitted an new battery, a new air filter, and a crankcase breather in place.
